Simply Red have announced they will play a second Kent date this summer at Dreamland in Margate.
The band, whose hits including If You Don’t Know Me by Now, Stars and Holding Back the Years, will be performing at the outdoor venue on Friday, August 12.
Mick Hucknall and co. will be joined in Margate by support band the Brand New Heavies.
It's the second date that Simply Red will be performing in the county this summer. They announced a night at the Hop Farm, near Paddock Wood, on Friday, June 17 in November last year.
Formed in Manchester in 1985, Simply Red achieved immediate success with their debut single Money's Too Tight (To Mention) and have gone on to sell more than 60 million albums worldwide, have five UK No.1 albums and more than a billion views on YouTube.
Their most recent album, Blue Eyed Soul, was released in November 2019 and entered the UK charts at No. 6.
Simply Red will be kicking off a series of live music events at Dreamland this August. Their concert will be followed by Dreamland Pride with All Saints on Saturday, August 13; Craig David on Saturday, August 20; and Tom Grennan on Saturday, August 27.
