He may be used to festivals and headlining venues such as Alexandra Palace but this week Slaves' Isaac Holman will play support to an up and coming band from his home town.
Isaac - a former Hugh Christie School pupil who hails from Tunbridge Wells - is half of the punk duo Slaves, with former Oakwood Park Grammar pupil Laurie Vincent from Maidstone, who have played the likes of Radio 1's Big Weekend; bagged a Kerrang! Spirit Of Punk award and been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.
But, thanks to the boldness of one member of three-piece punk outfit Scowl, he will play an acoustic support set for them at the launch party of their new single, The Virgin, this weekend.
The trio, Jack Parker, Sadie Lewcock and Dom Vian, have been a hit on the Tunbridge Wells scene for about a year, and have done a live set on BBC Radio Kent.
It was Jack who approached Isaac to play at the launch, which will be at the Forum basement, the Sussex Arms, in Tunbridge Wells on Friday, March 13.
He said: “As my Mum always says, if you don’t ask you will never have a chance, so I plucked up courage, bought Isaac a beer and asked him if he would help us out.
"We were totally blown away when he said 'yes'. He is someone we have followed for years and to have a chance to work on a set with him is amazing.”
The single is out on Saturday, March 14, produced by Goody/Swords.
There are still some tickets for the intimate gig at 7.30pm, which is for 18s and over, priced at £10.
