Police are warning festival goers not to buy stolen tickets for this month's Sound Island Festival.
Around 30 tickets for the event were taken from an office at the Secret Garden Centre in Quex Park, Birchington, where the event is being held on Saturday, July 27, and Sunday, July 28.
It is believed offenders broke a window to access the premises between 9pm on Saturday, July 13 and 8.40am on Sunday, July 14.
Sound Island tickets incorporate several security measures including barcode tracking, and the stolen tickets have been cancelled and are no longer valid for entry.
But police are concerned that music fans may unknowingly be sold the fraudulent passes to the event, which is being headlined by Plan B and Jessie J, along with singers Rita Ora, James Arthur, Lawson and Union J.
Officers have released the numbers of the stolen / invalid tickets:
Plan B concert - Saturday, July 27:General admission ticket 2135 - 2200 inclusive; Saturday of Weekend ticket 15079 – 15100 inclusive.
Jessie J concert – Sunday, July 28:General admission ticket 2128 - 2200 inclusive; Sunday of Weekend ticket 15079 – 15100 inclusive.
Festival spokesman Dion Clements said: “As tempting as it might be to purchase stolen tickets at cheaper prices, these tickets will not be valid.
“Members of the public are strongly advised not to purchase these tickets under any circumstances – the tickets are now worthless and purchasers attempting to use them risk being implicated – it’s a criminal offence to be in possession of stolen goods”
Officers are continuing to make enquiries and will be checking to see if any CCTV footage is available from the Secret Garden site.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Kent Police on 101.
