The musician joins the likes of Bryan Adams, Limp Bizkit and Madness, all of whom have already played headline shows at Margate’s vintage fairground this year.

After finding fame on social media with his viral TikTok videos, in which he would regularly cover songs by well-known artists, Sam was selected to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

He entered the competition with his single, Space Man, which saw him place second in the contest and become the highest-scoring UK contestant in history.

The tune also became the highest-charting Eurovision entry since Gina G’s Ooh Aah Just a Little Bit in 1996, reaching the No. 2 spot in the UK Singles Chart.

Since his appearance at the global music competition, Sam has been nominated for a BRIT Award, Emmy Award and MTV Music Video Award.

His debut album, There's Nothing but Space Man, was released in 2022 and reached the top of the UK Albums Chart.

Sam will be at Dreamland on Thursday, June 27 and tickets are still available to book online here.

The following night, on Friday, June 28, Scottish band Deacon Blue will take to the open-air Scenic Stage.

The group, who formed in the post-punk era of the 1980s, found mainstream success with the release of their chart-topping second album, When the World Knows Your Name, in 1989.

The pop-rock band continued to deliver hits with singles such as I'll Never Fall in Love Again and Twist and Shout until their split in 1994.

They reformed five years later and have released seven albums since, although the group took a brief break in 2004 after the death of original guitarist Graeme Kelling.

Tickets to see the Glasgow group are available online here.
