A spooky nighttime trail is set to bring a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘Christmas spirit’.
The Nightmare Before Christmas trail at Betteshanger Country Park in Deal puts a twist on the festive season and offers a unique experience to visitors for two days this week.
If you’re more of a Grinch than a Sugar Plum Fairy - or you have grumpy teenagers to impress over the school holidays - then this creepy after-dark trail could be the perfect way to kick off your Christmas.
The scare trail leads visitors into the park’s moonlit woodland where they will find spine-chilling spirits around every corner and twisted Christmas elves lurking in the darkness.
The trail is open from 7.30pm on Wednesday, December 20 and Thursday, December 21 and costs £12. You can book tickets online here.
It’s suitable for children aged 10 and over, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The ghostly trail is part of Betteshanger’s Christmas experience, which includes more traditional activities such as an immersive trip to the North Pole and a visit to Santa’s grotto.
There is also a family-friendly outdoor trail that visitors can follow during the Christmas period.
The park will be putting on its yuletide festivities until Christmas Eve.
