Former Strictly Come Dancing winner Chris Hollins will be twirling into the county to present one of the highlights of our summer season.
The twinkle-toed presenter, a former sports reporter for BBC Breakfast, will be narrating this year’s Open Air Classical Concert at Leeds Castle, near Maidstone.
Chris, a former pupil of Tonbridge School, won Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 with East Malling-based dancer Ola Jordan.
He will be introducing a spectacular evening of classical music performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by John Rigby, along with performances by the Military Wives Choir and the Patriot Girls.
The entertainment will also take place in the skies, with a flying visit from the RAF’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire and Hurricane and an aerial display by former Red Arrow pilots the Blades, along with a fantastic firework finale.
Gates open at 4pm on Saturday, July 13. Visitors can sit on the grass and bring a picnic for £36 or seated tickets cost £46. VIP packages are also available.
