Pop trio Sugababes have announced a huge open-air headline show in Kent this summer.
The group is the latest name to join this year’s Rochester Castle Concerts line-up, alongside the likes of Nile Rodgers and Soft Cell.
Sugababes will be performing in the historic castle grounds on Sunday, July 9. Tickets go on sale at 11am on Friday, March 3 and will be available to purchase here.
The girl group, best known for ‘00s hits such as Push the Button, Round Round and About You Now, are returning to the county after performing a headline set at Margate Pride last year.
Their Rochester concert will see original members Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhán Donaghy, who announced their reunion last year, perform some of the biggest singles from their back catalogue.
It's the second time the pop group has performed at this outdoor venue, with their last visit being a headline concert in 2006 - although the line-up at that time consisted of Keisha Buchanan, Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah.
Since the release of their debut album, One Touch, in 2000, the trio have achieved 17 Top 10 singles in the UK and received six BRIT Award nominations, winning Best British Dance Act in 2003.
Sugababes will be supported this summer by boyband New Hope Club, with more names set to be announced for the Kent concert soon.
They join the likes of disco legends Nile Rodgers and Chic, ‘80s duo Soft Cell and New Zealand reggae band Fat Freddy's Drop, who have all been announced for this year’s Rochester Castle Concerts.
The series of outdoor live music performances have become an annual staple of the Medway town, with concerts from the likes of the Human League, The Specials and James Blunt taking place last year.
