Good times are guaranteed at Dreamland this bank holiday weekend with a night of soul, rock steady, and funk to coincide with the Margate Meltdown.
On Saturday, May 25, Dreamland will present its second Sunset Session of the year during the Meltdown.
Every year, thousands of Mods and Rockers ride out from the famed ACE Café in London and head down to Margate on the late May bank holiday weekend.
This year’s will be the eleventh and it will see Margate seafront and harbour given over to motorcycles and scooters, diverse club and trade stands, a stage with live entertainment from Noon, together with rockin’ DJ Bill Guntrip.
As part of the fun, the Margate attraction is hosting an evening of soul, rock steady, funk and house on its open-air Scenic Stage.
Legendary DJs Don Letts, Jazzie B and Norman Jay take to the turntables for the start of the long weekend.
Music lovers, retro bikers or those just looking to soak up some bank holiday sun can head down to Dreamland from 6pm for the ultimate soundtrack as the sun sets.
For those wanting to start the party early, Ziggy’s Rooftop bar on Margate’s Marine Terrace will reopen for the summer at noon in the Caribbean-themed rooftop terrace bar overlooking Margate beach.
Tickets are £10 plus a booking fee in advance, and include access to rides on the night.
The event is open to all ages, but under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. To book your tickets, go to dreamland.co.uk/events.
