More on KentOnline
Put on your jiving shoes for a night with one of the most popular swing bands around.
The Jive Aces already had a strong local following before they became the first band to reach the semi-finals of TV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
However, following their acclaimed performances for Simon Cowell and friends in 2012, the group’s video Bring Me Sunshine went viral and attracted 2.5m views on YouTube.
Anyone already familiar with the band will not be surprised that they did so well on TV, as their larger than life performances always go down a storm with Kent audiences.
Having been together for more than a decade, the Jive Aces have gigged all over the world and taken part in both the Olympic and Paralympic celebrations.
Their live show features tracks from their latest album, King of the Swingers, including timeless classics such as Mack the Knife, Bare Necessities, Sing Sing Sing and, of course, their version of Morecambe and Wise’s Bring Me Sunshine.
You can catch them in the act when they take their high energy act to the Festival Theatre at Hever Castle, near Edenbridge, on Friday, August 21. Tickets £15 at www.heverfestival.co.uk.
The Jive Aces will also be at Folkestone’s Grand Burstin Hotel on Saturday, September 5.
