I want to start this week’s column by saying a huge thank you to everyone who has jumped on board with our Go Dotty charity events!
kmfm teamed up with Demelza children’s hospice to hold 10 tea parties in 10 days around the county.
They started in Gillingham last Monday, and have been taking place in Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, and Maidstone.
A huge thank you to everyone that joined us at one of the events and helped raise some money, but if you missed the party, don’t panic!
You can still come along and join in the fun this Friday, May 3, at the Demelza Hospice in Sittingbourne. The party will start at 3.30pm, and is a chance to enjoy some tea and delicious cake while watching some great live entertainment.
It costs £10 per person, with all funds going to Demelza. And youngsters will enjoy meeting Little Miss Dotty, who will be making an appearance.
There is no need to book – just turn up. Demelza is a very worthy cause, so please do come along and join us. For information visit www.kmfm.co.uk
In my last column I told you about some of the watersports my fellow Breakfast Show presenter Rob Wills and I had been enjoying as part of the new Active Coast campaign.
Run by Visit Kent, it is aimed at getting more people to enjoy the county’s coastline. Well, now it’s your turn to get involved! Make sure you listen to the Breakfast Show because every day we will be offering fantastic family days out, to help you keep active this summer!
Activities on offer include surfing lessons at Joss Bay, water skiing at Lydd Lakes, kayaking, sailing and power boating.
The list is endless, and there really is something for everyone!
We work very hard here at kmfm, so now and then I like to let my hair down and enjoy a fun girlie night out with my friends.
Our next outing is due to take place shortly, and I have suggested for our next outing we might go and see a saucy new show coming to the Churchill Theatre in Bromley next week - The Dreamboys.
I haven’t ever seen a ‘male glamour’ show before, so now the hunks are coming to Kent, it seems like the perfect opportunity! It is all very tongue-in-cheek, apparently, so I’m sure armed with a cocktail or two beforehand, we will have a great time!
