It's likely to keep audiences guessing when it pulls in to Canterbury next week.
The gripping thriller The Girl On The Train is based on the No.1 bestselling novel by Paula Hawkins and the Dreamworks film, which starred Emily Blunt.
It tells the story of Rachel Watson, who longs for a different life. Her only escape is the perfect couple that she watches through the train window every day. They are happy and in love - or so it appears.
But when Rachel learns that the woman she’s been watching has disappeared, she finds herself a witness and even a suspect in a thrilling mystery, in which she will face bigger revelations than she could ever have anticipated.
EastEnders star Samantha Womack - best known as Ronnie Mitchell in the BBC soap - plays Rachel. She has also appeared in the Kingsman films. A Marlowe favourite, she has performed at the theatre before in The Addams Family and panto.
She said: “I am absolutely loving playing Rachel in The Girl on the Train. She’s such an interesting character and we’ve had a brilliant reception from our audiences who have been gripped by her story.”
She appears with Coronation Street star Oliver Farnworth.
The show is at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury from Tuesday, August 20 to Saturday August 24.
