They symbolised everything about the achingly-cool indie movement in the mid 2000s.
But even though the Kooks’ singles have not bothered the charts in a while, that will not stop them playing to a packed crowd at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall on Monday as part of their UK tour.
The Brighton four-piece are touring again following a string of success on the festival circuit.
They sold out their Listen tour across the country last year and have since taken the show to Australia, Europe, USA and South America.
The band, led by vocalist and guitarist Luke Pritchard, first thrilled a sell-out crowd at Folkestone’s historic music venue in 2006, upon the release of their debut album Inside In/Inside Out.
They have also remained favourites on the festival circuit, with gigs at Reading and Leeds this year, thanks to hits like Naive, She Moves In Her Own Way and Always Where I Need To Be.
The Kooks will be in Folkestone on Monday, December 14.
