You’ve got your Kent Big Weekend tickets – now use them!
That is the message kick starting this weekend’s countywide event, which supplied 20,000 free tickets to Kent attractions to mark the start of English Tourism Week.
More than 114,000 entries were received for the tickets before the February closing date and this Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30 is the time for lucky winners to use their passes for more than 120 attractions across Kent.
These include historic sites such as Rochester, Dover and Leeds castles and Canterbury Cathedral, natural beauty spots like the RSPB Dungeness nature reserve or Terlingham Vineyard, near Hawkinge, sporty venues such as Ashford’s Stour Leisure Centre or Sittingbourne Golf Centre and activities like a pottery taster session at Gravesend Adult Education Centre or paint-balling at Quex Park.
Sandra Matthews-Marsh of Visit Kent, which organises the Kent Big Weekend, said: “It is going to be a tremendous weekend.
“All we need now is some record-breaking temperatures so that we can see our glorious gardens, historic houses, castles and cathedrals at their springtime best and savour every moment of rides aboard our special trains and riverboats.”
