Indie band The Vaccines will be bringing their rock riffs to two Kent venues next year.
The four-piece will be performing in Margate and Folkestone in February as part of their Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations tour.
The UK leg of the tour, named after their upcoming sixth studio album, sees the band perform at 14 intimate venues across the country from Monday, February 5 to Friday, February 23.
Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations is the band’s first album since the departure of guitarist Freddie Cowan who left the group for the “foreseeable future” in March this year.
The group first rose to fame in 2011 with the release of their debut album What Did You Expect from The Vaccines.
The album, which included hits such as If You Wanna, Nørgaard, Wetsuit and Post Break-Up Sex, was the best-selling British debut album of that year.
Their second album Come of Age, released in 2012, reached No. 1 in the UK Album Chart and spawned more successful singles such as I Always Knew and Teenage Icon.
They will be supported on their upcoming tour by Teen Jesus and The Jean Teasers and Divorce, who are also performing at Where Else in Margate this October.
The Vaccines will be at Dreamland’s indoor venue Hall By the Sea in Margate on Sunday, February 11 2024 and at Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on Tuesday, February 13 2024.
Tickets go on general sale from 9am on Friday, September 29.
