Sandra Matthews-Marsh, chief executive at Visit Kent, said: “Everyone has taken the My Kent Big Weekend to their hearts.

“This year we’ve had more than 92,000 applications for free tickets and the widest range of tourism attractions and experiences ever taking part.

“Just a quick browse through all the destinations really brings home just how much our county has to offer us all.

“It highlights how we can so easily take our historic houses and magnificent gardens, country parks and activity centres, let alone our easy access to some of the most tremendous heritage in the UK, which contribute so much to our quality of life in the county for granted.”

Make sure you take along your camera to capture the experience for the People and Places photo competitions.
