Three huge one-day festivals will kick off a series of Park Live concerts at Maidstone’s Mote Park to celebrate the Queen’s jubilee.
Cafe Mambo Ibiza Classics, Together Festival and Summer Love will welcome visitors over the bank holiday and are the first in a number of summer concerts coming to Kent this year.
Starting the bank holiday with a bang is Cafe Mambo Ibiza Classics, which will see the iconic party brand bring their chilled Ibiza classics and artists from the White Isle to Maidstone.
Party goers can head to the park for one of the biggest Cafe Mambo Ibiza events of the year and enjoy music from huge headliners, including dance music legend Judge Jules, American DJ Todd Terry, TV personality Brandon Block and house musician Lovely Laura.
The line-up also features music from Bongo Ben, Tristan Ingram and Woody Cook, son of radio host and TV presenter Zoe Ball and ‘90s superstar Fatboy Slim.
The following day will see Together Festival, a free concert for NHS staff and key workers to thank them for their hard work, return to Mote Park.
With a jam-packed line-up of top pop acts, nostalgic anthems and tribute bands, the concert has something for just about everyone.
Appearing at this year’s Together Festival will be 2017 X Factor winners Rak-Su and a host of ‘90s and ‘00s boybands such as 5ive and Blazin’ Squad.
The line-up will also see performances from Big Brovas, Shola Ama and Angelo Starr, as well as Queen, Elton John and The Beatles tribute acts.
A spokesman said: "Together Festival will be bringing the community together once again with free tickets for NHS staff and key workers.
"Tickets will start at just £5 for non-key workers. We are planning to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee in style.”
The event also features its own street food festival, a beer, cider and ale village, a prosecco, gin and cocktail parlour and a childrens’ funfair.
The final of these three bank holiday concerts is Summer Love, an all-new reggae and ska festival making its Kent debut this year.
Headlining Summer Love will be British reggae icons UB40, featuring vocals from original band member Ali Campbell. They will be performing some of their biggest hits, such as Red Red Wine and Kingston Town, as the sun sets over Mote Park
Also due to appear at the festival are innovative R’n’B reggae band Aswad, London ska band The Dualers and DJ General Levy.
To top it all off, the concert will also be serving dishes from around the world from a number of independent food and drink vendors, including authentic Caribbean cuisine and rum punch.
There will also be entertainment and activities to keep the kids busy while you enjoy live music in the great outdoors.
The Park Live series will continue throughout the summer and includes the Mote Park Proms with Katherine Jenkins, LGBTQ+ festival Glitterbomb and tribute festival Rock the Mote and later this year.
