Hip hop hooray! It is time for the second Folkestone Leas Lift Beer Festival of the year.
First launched by friends Peter Oetzmann, Adam Smith and Ian Corbett in 2011, the three-day event takes place every February and September at the lower Leas Lift station on the seafront.
In addition to a selection of local beers and ciders, this weekend’s festival will feature wine from Kentish vineyards for the first time.
Visitors are also invited to take along their home brew, with prizes given for the best creation, and there will be a range of locally sourced snacks available, along with live music throughout the event.
The beer festival is open from 1pm to 11pm every day from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22 and entry is free.
A £1 lift charge will apply, or it is free to CAMRA members. Beer is priced £1.75 for a half and £3.50 for a pint.
