You can step into the Home Front this weekend.

Hever Castle and Gardens will be taking visitors back to the 1940s for a weekend of re-enactments, including a tea dance tent where you can take traditional afternoon tea while watching swing dancing.

See how families lived during the Second World War and browse antiques, toys and memorabilia from the era. There will also be a lifesize model Hurricane on the ground, while a Spitfire will stage a flypast, weather permitting.

Visitors are encouraged to come dressed for the event and there will be a best-dressed competition on the day.

For those wanting to try an activity, you can try an Airfix model workshop and discover the three pillboxes on the Hever Lake Walk, where they were built to defend strategic crossing points and slow down any German advance.
