Tinie Tempah, the rapper behind the huge No. 1 of 2010, Pass Out, will be playing to his Kent fans this weekend.
Club Chemistry in Canterbury is the latest Kent venue to attract the British star, 26, who has previously performed at the Hop Farm Festival in 2011 and Maidstone's Gallery nightclub last year.
Tinie - real name Patrick Okogwu - will be supported on the night by the venue's resident DJ Charlsey in what will be one of his intimate gigs to date.
The city nightclub announced: "Tinie Tempah’s debut single, Pass Out, entered the UK Charts at No. 1, selling over 92,000 copies in its first week and there has been no stopping him since. He’s toured with Chipmunk, Rihanna, Tinchy Stryder, Usher, Pixie Lott, Neo, Labrinth, Chase & Status, Mr Hudson and he is currently on tour with the Script.
"His music has been used for a Bacardi advert, Wrestle Mania and the Super Bowl and he’s performed at the 2012 Olympics, Wembley Stadium, Wakestock, Wireless, V Festival and Glastonbury with Snoop Dogg, no less. He’s got a record produced by Zane Lowe. He’s the most nominated person ever for a Brit award. And on the April 11, 2015, he is coming to Canterbury."
It is the latest coup by Club Chemistry, which in recent months has hosted visits from DJs including Toddla T, Ben Pearce, Chris Lorenzo, Wideboys, Sam Divine and Matrix & Futurebound.
Tickets for the night, which lasts from 10pm to 6am, cost £30. Visit www.clubchemistry.co.uk
