Broadcasting legend and kmfm DJ Tony Blackburn has been helping the nation cope with life during the coronavirus outbreak by sharing his wisdom on Twitter with a daily dose of Tony's Tips.
Helping to keep everyone's spirits during lockdown the 77-year-old, who presents on kmfm on Sundays from 4pm, has been using humour, music and even poetry for #TonysTips.
He announced them to his 74, 000 Twitter followers while at the KM Group's base in Medway recording his show.
They have ranged from appreciating nature - which saw him break out in song for his followers - debating whether horses should wear coats when they're out in the fields, and, Tip 10 included instruction on how to walk while out on our daily exercise.
He's also given tips for flower arrangements, where he commented on his own arrangement "This just shows how good I am" and he shared a poem he'd written.
He has also rolled on the grass with his neighbour's dog, Brook, and sang the theme tune to 50s children's show Muffin the Mule.
He confessed lockdown had also given him time to listen to the radio more. "I'm listening to myself on the radio a great deal," he said," and thoroughly enjoying it."
His stage tour is currently on hold, but the next date in Kent will be Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Margate Winter Gardens.
