Indulge your inner foodie at the Broadstairs Food Festival.
During the Easter bank holiday, visitors to the beautiful seaside town of Broadstairs can sample delicious food and drink from more than 80 independent producers.
The festival, which takes place twice a year, showcases the best mouth-watering delicacies from small-scale Kent-based producers, as well as sellers from neighbouring counties.
This spring, vendors will be setting up stands to sell just about everything, from luxury cakes to crisp ciders and savoury cheeses.
Some of the stands due to appear at the festival over the bank holiday weekend include Canterbury Cheesemakers, Elle’s Bakery, Garage Coffee, the Garlic Farm, Hide and Greek, Kent Cider, Mighty Spice, Pinkster Gin, Radburger and Taco Bill.
The three-day festival began in 2009 as a way to celebrate the coastal town’s independent shops, restaurants and pubs and support the high streets of Broadstairs, Margate and Ramsgate.
Since then, the festival has expanded to include producers from across the county and the south east.
The event has always been organised by volunteers, and this year is no different. This spring, the team of volunteers will be on hand once again to sell raffle tickets, taking donations and directing guests around the site.
The Easter food and drink fair will be held at the cliff top site of Victoria Gardens, overlooking the sea, so visitors can take a stroll through the pretty beachfront gardens and promenade while they tuck in.
If you’re looking for things to do this Easter and you’ve got a food fanatic in the family, this seaside festival might just be the perfect day out.
Broadstairs Food Festival takes place from Saturday, April 16 to Easter Monday at Victoria Gardens. Entry is free and no pre-booking is required. Find more details here.
