Steam into the weekend with a diesel extravaganza.

The Spa Valley Railway holds its first Spring Diesel action event of its 20th anniversary year with two visiting locomotives on Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12.

The train arriving at the platform will be the Class 33/2 33201 from the Swanage Railway and courtesy of the BRC Work Group. No stranger to the former Tunbridge Wells to Eridge line, it was also built specially for use on the Tonbridge to Hastings route.

Some six locomotives are due to be steaming in, including the Class 14 D9537.
