It has been a very special week at kmfm Breakfast, as we launched our new competition Two Grand in the Sand! We have 10 plots marked out on a beach in Kent and have buried £2,000 in one of them.

Every weekday until Friday, July 5, we will read out a list of items we’ve packed for our holiday, and if you can remember and recite 10 of them in 20 seconds, you will get to choose a lucky plot.

The big finale will take place on Saturday, July 6, when the 10 plot winners will dig their area of sand for the chance to win £2,000. I can’t wait!

And we are still running our 10 in 30 competition every day on Breakfast. Listeners have 30 seconds on the clock and we ask one simple question that has more than 10 possible answers.

For every answer you get right we give you £10, but get all 10 correct and we will give you £500! It’s been a long time since we last gave away the full jackpot, but the beauty of this competition is that you’re nearly always guaranteed to walk away with some cold, hard cash that you can spend wherever you like!

I would also like to say a big well done to Jeff Banks from Rainham, who won kmfm Breakfast’s competition Six Songs in Six Seconds. He correctly identified all six artists and titles in the right order and has won the £2,066 jackpot!

For those who missed the answer, the songs were: Bobby Brown – Two Can Play That Game; Bruno Mars – Marry You; The Wanted – All Time Low; Ed Sheeran – Lego House; Katy Perry – Firework; Lady Gaga – Born This Way. I don’t know how Jeff managed it as the clips were so quick. I do know I would definitely like him on my team at the next pub quiz I go to!
