If you love a good book and a bargain, you can help raise money for Kent charity ellenor.
Hot on the heels of World Book Day, leading estate agent Ward & Partners is holding a week-long book sale. Taking place in every Kent branch, the event will include a range of new children’s books and quality second-hand books.
Anyone is welcome to pop in and browse.
The company’s managing director, Aldo Sotgiu, said: “We are excited to be supporting ellenor. Last year we raised over £100,000 for children’s charities and we are looking to improve on this in 2016.
"The book sale is one of ways we are hoping to achieve this. If you would like to donate a book, please drop them in to your local Ward & Partners office.”
Based in Northfleet, ellenor needs to raise £6.7 million a year to provide its round-the-clock care for families facing terminal illness. This includes providing medical treatment such as chemotherapy in the home for children.
Each branch of Ward & Partners has set itself the target of raising £89 from the book sale – a figure which will fund a session of chemotherapy for one of ellenor’s young patients.
The event runs from Monday, March 14 to Saturday, March 19.
