We may be wrapping up warm with frosty mornings, but think ahead a few months and you could be stripping down to your swimwear for the first hot tub open air cinema event to come to Kent.
Tub Life has announced it plans to stage a Hot-Tub Cinema in Maidstone on Saturday, June 1.
The venue is yet to be announced but the Maidstone date is one of 18 scheduled for this summer across the country.
Organisers say: "Our simple but magical formula for truly memorable night out is: great films, amazing spaces, lots of hot tubs and just add water.
"Our guiding mantra here at Hot Tub HQ is that we don’t just watch films, we celebrate them. We encourage you to dress up, sing, dance, drink, play and most of all enjoy your favourite films, alongside friends old and new. Oh, and did we mention you do all this in a hot tub?"
Visitors will need to book a tub of six, who will be served by tub waiters.
The company evolved from a private party with one hot tub eight years ago. The first public screening was held in 2012 with one tub but current events boast up to 30 hot tubs, two screens and a surround-sound system.
A recent event held in Liverpool, which sold out, saw ticket holders vote for their favourite film to be show, with The Greatest Showman coming out on top.
The June date is said to be a preliminary one, with organisers still finalising details and gauging interest.
