If you’ve ever found yourself feeling there’s too much turkey and mince pies when it comes to festive food, you’ll be pleased to hear there’s a large slice of cheese for foodies in Canterbury.
Byron’s at 45 Burgate, Canterbury, has launched its seventh decadent Cheesemas menu, which this year also caters for vegetarians. Available until Wednesday, January 2, it features a new burger patty recipe - a blend of chuck, brisket and rib cap for extra juiciness - topped with six different cheesy layers, including a scoop of bacon macaroni cheese. The Holy Cheesemas burger costs £14.95.
The Veggie Cheesemas burger- also £14.95 - is a veggie bean patty, with American cheese, smoked cheese, cheese crisp, as well as a scoop of macaroni cheese.
If that wasn’t enough, there’s a bowl of molten cheese sauce on the side – a mix of Byron cheese, cheddar and emmental.
You can also choose from halloumi fries, bacon cheese fries and mac and cheese balls.
Katie Lister, head of menu development, at Byron's said: “Our Cheesemas menu always goes down an absolute storm.”
