Two nights of West End-style performances are coming to an open-air venue in Kent this summer.
An Evening of Queen and An Evening of Abba will both be at the Spitfire Ground in Canterbury in July, featuring huge hits from chart-topping artists.
The performances will take place on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22. Tickets go on general sale on Friday, February 24 at 10am. You can book tickets online here.
The first concert will be a tribute to Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon, some of the most well-known names in British music.
An Evening of Queen, which last visited the Spitfire Ground in 2019 and performed to a sell-out crowd, boasts a cast of stars from the smash hit musical We Will Rock You.
The show also features a West End band, an authentic stadium rock show atmosphere and dozens of hits from the rock band, including Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions and Don’t Stop Me Now.
The following evening, fans of Eurovision winners Abba will be treated to a night of the band’s greatest hits as An Evening of Abba takes over the cricket ground.
The cast, which includes a number of performers from the West End phenomenon Mamma Mia, will be performing fan favourites from the show.
The concert is also led by Mamma Mia’s former touring musical director, Richard Weeden.
Kent Cricket’s Director of Partnerships, Andy Griffiths, said: “Following two sell-out Evening of Queen concerts in 2019, we’re delighted to welcome back stars of the West End for two unmissable evenings of entertainment this summer.
“We are looking forward to two back-to-back evenings of cheering, dancing, and singing along to fantastic music, with the beautiful backdrop of The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence.”
Ticket prices for both concerts start from £27.40.
