Pop band Wet Wet Wet are set to perform their greatest hits at an intimate Kent gig.
The show at Folkestone’s Leas Cliff Hall is one of three concerts that the band will play outside of their upcoming co-headline tour with Go West.
The band, who are also performing in Halifax and Buxton in the coming weeks, are best known for singles such as Goodnight Girls, Wishing I Was Lucky and With a Little Help From My Friends.
Their 1994 hit Love is All Around, which was recorded for the Hugh Grant rom-com Four Weddings and a Funeral, spent a record-breaking 15 weeks at the top of the UK Singles Chart.
The band formed in Scotland in the 1980s, with singer Marti Pellow at the helm.
Since 2018, former Liberty X popstar and The Voice winner Kevin Simm has fronted the group after Pellow left to focus on his solo career, which has included stints on Broadway and the West End.
Bassist Graeme Clark and guitarist Graeme Duffin, who have been part of the chart-topping group since the ‘80s, are still performing with Wet Wet Wet as part of the seven-piece touring band.
This month also sees the band begin their co-headline tour with pop duo Go West, who achieved success with singles such as We Close Our Eyes, Call Me, Faithful and King of Wishful Thinking.
The two artists will visit 12 venues in locations such as London, Cardiff, Liverpool and Manchester.
Wet Wet Wet will be at Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on Wednesday, January 24. You can book tickets online here.
