The second wave of artists for Kent’s biggest rock festival has been announced, including a headline set from Australian band Wolfmother.
The hard rock group will perform at Maid of Stone Festival in the summer alongside the likes of Mr Big, Those Damn Crows and As December Falls.
Wolfmother, best known for singles Joker and the Thief and Woman, will be making their debut in Maidstone this July to perform music from their six studio albums.
The latest announcement also includes multi-Grammy Award-winning band Living Colour, known for fusing heavy metal music with funk, jazz and soul, and British bands Mason Hill and These Wicked Rivers, all of whom will be performing on the main stage.
Also set to appear over the weekend are Ashen Reach, Blind River, Crowley, Darnell Cole and the Vibe, Phoenix Lake, The Hot One Two, Twister and Until 9.
They will join the previously announced headliners Mr Big, who are returning to the UK in what is expected to be one of their last shows in the country.
Festival favourites Those Damn Crows, former Iron Maiden and Wolfsbane singer Blaze Bayley and Scottish band Gun are also among the artists who have already been revealed as part of this year’s line-up.
Festival booker Chris Wright said: “I couldn’t be more excited with the line-up we're building for 2024, especially after the feedback from our first announcement.
“It’s going to be a great event with some of the best rock fans I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. We’re really building something special here in Maidstone and we literally cannot wait to open those gates in July.”
The three-day festival made its debut last year and will return this July with food vendors, cask ale bars, street entertainers, a signing tent, axe throwing, a chillout area and camping and glamping options.
It takes place from from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21 at Mote Park in Maidstone. Tickets are on sale now and can be booked online here.
Weekend tickets start from £119 plus booking fees.
