Gin continues to grow in popularity as a summer cocktail base because it is totally customisable as well as incredibly thirst-quenching when temperatures heat up.
And if that wasn’t reason enough to make you reach for a tumbler, it’s also low in calories!

Down the hatch!
Gin Gimlet
Shake or stir all the contents and strain into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Ingredients: 55ml of gin, 20ml of simple syrup, 20ml of lime juice
Bramble
Pour the contents into a tumbler half filled with ice and stir gently. Garnish with a blackberry or two.
Ingredients: 40ml gin, 10ml sugar syrup, 15ml crème de mur (blackberry liqueur), 15ml lemon or lime juice, blackberries to garnish
Hop Collins
Pour the contents - except the beer - into tumbler filled with ice and shake well. Double strain into a chilled glass and then top with chilled beer. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Ingredients: 50ml of dry gin, 10ml sugar syrup, 20ml lemon juice, good quality lager or pale ale
Rhubarb Fizz
Pour all the contents into a tall glass over ice and stir. Garnish with a wedge of pink grapefruit.
Ingredients: 50ml rhubarb gin, 50ml pink grapefruit, 25ml elderflower, grapefruit lemonade
Gin Martini
Pour all the contents into a tall glass and stir before then straining into a Martini glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
Ingredients: 50ml gin, 10ml dry Vermouth, 4 dashes orange bitters, orange twist to garnish
Rhubarb in Bloom
Pour all the contents over cubed ice and top with ginger ale. Serve with a strip of rhubarb, mint sprig and a viola flower.
Ingredients: 15ml rhubarb and ginger liqueur, 15ml green apple liqueur, 15ml rhubarb gin, 15ml fresh lemon juice, 15ml raspberry sugar syrup, 145ml of ginger ale
Negroni
Stir all the contents and pour into glass over ice. Garnish and serve.
Ingredients: 25ml dry gin, 25ml Campari, 25ml sweet vermouth
