Venture out into the Kent countryside on Easter Monday and you’ll get to take a walk on the wild side.
Kenward Trust’s Walk on the Wild Side brings country crafts, pastimes and animals together for a truly rural day.
Chainsaw carving, crossbows and the chance to take a family friendly woodland walk will all be on offer at the Yalding-based charity’s free day.
The Leeds Castle falconry team will be bringing some of their 30 birds along, for visitors to see and stroke the owls. The team look after some 21 species from the American kestrel to the largest, a Russian steppe eagle.
There will be craft stalls, a children’s funfair and the chance to pop into the recently opened Sage and Time Cafe for a beverage and home-made cake.
All proceeds go to the charity’s work supporting people affected by alcohol and substance misuse.
It runs from 10.30am and 3.30pm on Easter Monday. Find the Kenward Trust in Kenward Road, Yalding, ME18 6AH.
