Kent bonfire night and firework displays 2015

Bonfire night is only just around the corner so we've put together a comprehensive guide to the county's best firework displays. Just scroll through the list below to find out where your local display is taking place

Allington, near Maidstone

One of the biggest display in the County Town takes place on Saturday, November 7. Following the cancellation on the nearby event at Kent Life, the display that takes place behind the Allington Community Association Club in Castle Road, looks set to be more popular than ever. Tickets on the gate are £7, £5 in advance. Gates open at 6pm with the display starting around 8pm. There will also be a funfair.

Ashford Rugby Club

The best firework display for miles around takes place at Ashford Rugby Club in Canterbury Road, Kennington, on Saturday, November 7. Gates open at 5pm with the bonfire getting lit at 7pm. The first rocket goes up at 7.30pm. There will also be a beer bus, food stalls and amusements. Tickets cost £8, £4 under 15s, £20 families (2+2) and under fives free. Benenden

As well as the fantastic bonfire and fireworks, there's entertainment plus a barbecue and real ale at this village event organised by the local Scouts. The gates open at Glebe Field by the village hall at 6pm on Saturday, November 7. The live entertainment will be up and running at 6.30pm with the bonfire being lit at 7pm. The fireworks start at 7.30pm. Admission on the gate is £5, £2 for under 15s and under fives free. The event is supported Benenden Hospital Trust.

Bexley

This highly popular annual display is run by the local community at the Baldwyns Freeholders Association Club at Baldwyns Park. Taking place on Saturday, November 7, the gates open at 6.30pm with the main display at 8pm. There will also be a bar, stalls and lots of food to select from. Tickets £3, £2 children.

Birchington, Quex Park

A Night at the Movies is the theme of the eighth annual bonfire at Quex Park, near Margate. With two stunning firework displays, including one choreographed to music, the night attracts families from across East Kent. There's certainly plenty to keep everyone entertained, with a large bonfire, funfair, stilt walkers, jugglers, magicians and a craft market in the marquee. Gates open from 5pm on Saturday, November 7 with the first display from 6pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the main fireworks display takes place at 7.15pm. Tickets £10, £8 children and £34 families (2+2). Advanced tickets booked online are cheaper. More details at www.quexpark.co.uk

Brands Hatch

Sparks will fly on and off the track, with the final rounds of the BTRA British Truck Racing Championship followed by a fireworks display to close the season on Sunday, November 8. Track action will include five-tonne 1000 horsepower trucks, pocket-rocket Legends cars and NASCAR-style pickup trucks, while away from the track there'll be monster truck rides, a funfair and the fireworks display at around 5pm. Canterbury, Merton Farm

Fireworks on the Farm is back with a bang for 2015. Held every year just off Nackington Road at Merton Farm, the event is on Saturday, November 7. Gates open at 4.30pm with the bonfire starting at 5pm and the fireworks at 6.30pm. There's plenty of free parking. Tickets £10, £5 children - but 50% savings are available online in advance. Cuxton

Bush Road Recreation Ground will be the venue for the Wheel of Cuxton Firework Display on Saturday, November 7, with gates open at 5.30pm. There'll be a guy competition at 6pm, bonfire lighting at 6.30pm, live entertainment begins at 6.45pm and the fireworks display will be at 7.15pm. Admission is £3 for adults, £2 for five to 12-year-olds.

Danson Park

The always popular event display returns on Saturday, November 7. The 25 minute display is set to music in the grounds of the public park that's just off the A2 at Bexley. There will also be a funfair plus plenty of food and drink stands. Gates open 6pm, fireworks at 8pm. Arranged by Welling Round Table. Advanced tickets £6, £4 children, on the door £10, £5 children. Dartford

Dartford Lions Club will be holding the annual fireworks event on Saturday, November 7, from at 7.15pm with a bonfire in Dartford Central Park. The firework display itself will then kick off at 8pm sharp.

Doddington Palace Farm, Sittingbourne

Doddington’s Palace Farm is the venue for the village’s annual fireworks extravaganza. The farm’s campsite in Down Court Road (ME9 0AU) will have a bonfire, being lit at 6.30pm, and a display from 7pm on Saturday, November 7. There will also be a bar, hot food and free car parking. Entry £6 for adults and £2 children, under fives free.

Edenbridge

The most celebrated bonfire in the country takes place a Edenbridge. The event, which this year takes place on Saturday, November 7, traditionally has an effigy of a well-known personality going up in flames. Both of the Blairs, Wayne Rooney, Gordon Brown, Mario Balotelli and Lance Armstrong have all been burnt at the stake in past years. This year football supremo Sepp Blatter will be feeling the heat. This year's event will also include a torchlight procession through the town at 6.30pm. The main fireworks display is in Lingfield Road recreation ground. Gillingham, Great Lines Heritage Park

The biggest annual bonfire night display in Medway takes place high above Chatham and Gillingham at the Great Lines. Being held on Saturday, November 7 at 7pm, the FREE event attracts thousands of spectators every year - so arrive early for the best spots. There is no on-site parking or toilets. Leeds Castle

There will be lights, cameras and plenty of action at Leeds Castle's Hollywood-themed display. The fireworks will be timed to music from the movies, with scenes from classic films projected onto the side of the castle during the event on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8. There will also be entertainment running throughout both afternoons plus stalls selling hot food and drinks. The fireworks will light up the sky from 5.30pm, with last admission at 4.30pm and gates closing at 6pm. Tickets £19, £12.50 for children and free for under fours from the box office on 01622 880008. Maidstone, Maidstone Grammar School

Taking place on Saturday, November 7, this annual display looks set to be more popular than ever following the cancellation of the event at nearby Kent Life. Gates open at 6pm with the fireworks starting at 7pm. Please use the school's West Park Road entrance opposite Maidstone Leisure Centre. Parking at the leisure centre is £3. Tickets £8 on the gate, £4 for students and children with under fives free. A family ticket (2+3) is £20.

Mersham, near Ashford

Get along to the Farriers Arms on Saturday, November 7 for fireworks, tasty food, plenty of entertainment for the children and, of course, a glass or two of good beer. Taking place in the field alongside the 17th century pub, there's food from 6pm, the firework display at 7pm and the bonfire being lit at 7.30pm. Sturry

Taking place on Saturday, November 7 at Greenfields, Sturry Hill. Gates open at 5pm. The event is a joint fundraiser for Sturry Guides and Scouts. Tickets costing £5 and £3 for children are now on sale on at the farm shop on Sturry Hill. You can also pay on the gate. The bonfire will be lighting up the sky at 6pm with the fireworks shortly afterwards.

Tenterden

St Michael's Primary School will be setting its fireworks to music on Sunday, November 8 at 6.30pm. Gates open 5pm. Tickets £5 adults, £3.50 children or £15 for a family of four. Call 07874214763 or 07910184024 to book or call the school office on 01580 763210.

Tunbridge Wells

Last year more than 10,000 people flocked to the natural amphitheater of Dunorlan Park to see one of West Kent's biggest displays. This year the event is on Saturday, November 7. Advanced tickets cost £6 and £4 for children. On the gate prices at £8 and £6. The display is organised by the local Round Table. More details at www.rtwrt.org

Tyler Hill

They've been celebrating Bonfire Night at Tyler Hill, near Canterbury, since 1973 and this year will be no exception. The annual firework display takes place at the Tyler Hill recreation ground in Summer Lane on Saturday, November 7. There's free parking at nearby Kent University. Gates open at 5.30pm withe the massive bonfire going up in flames at 7.30pm. The fireworks start at 8pm. Tickets £7 and under 14s £3, although there are substantial savings if you book online in advance. More details at www.tylerhillbonfire.co.uk

Upchurch

They've been celebrating fireworks night in Upchurch for more than three decades and this year the event returns on Saturday, November 7. The display takes place at Westmoor Farm on the A2 between Sittingbourne and Rainham. Tickets are only available on the night. They cost £7, £5 for children and £20 for a family (2+2). Plenty of free parking is available on the farm. More details at www.upchurchfireworks.co.uk
