A man in his 50s reportedly suffered facial injuries during an acid attack in an alleyway in Whitstable.

The victim was in an alley between Harbour Street and Fountain street at around 1pm yesterday when noxious liquid from a bottle was apparently thrown at him.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed until Monday, March 21 while inquries continue.
