Whitstable: Air ambulance lands on football pitch after cyclist hurt

A cyclist was taken to hospital after colliding with a car in Whitstable.
An air ambulance was called to the scene following reports the man had suffered serious injuries.
The crash happened near the railway bridge in Belmont Road shortly after 9pm last night.
The helicopter landed on Westmeads recreation ground.
Crews treated him at the scene before he was taken to King's College Hospital in London by road.
He suffered injuries to his head, chest and leg, but is not thought to be in a life-threatening condition.
