Ambulance crew treats casualty at Tesco roundabout, Thanet Way, Whitstable

Traffic ground to a halt at a busy roundabout while paramedics treated a female motorcyclist.

It was at Tesco roundabout on Thanet Way Whitstable at about 5.30pm on Saturday in wet conditions.

A motorist said: "The casualty was being treated by paramedics on the roundabout and traffic was being guided around the ambulance."

"It was very wet and conditions were quite hazardous."

Police said they were called at 5.15pm to reports that a motorcyclist had come off their bike. No other vehicles were involved.

A spokesman said: "The female rider was treated by an ambulance crew and taken to a local hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening."
