A road was closed near Whitstable and Seasalter Golf Club after a chimney stack collapsed onto the roof of a three-storey home.

Crews were called to West Cliff just before 12.30pm where they removed all loose brickwork while police cordoned off the road.

They accessed the roof with a turntable ladder and used hand tools to dismantle the chimney.
