A special EastEnders party to celebrate the soap's 30th anniversary will be held at a pub in Whitstable this week.

The Albert, in Sea Street, will screen the show on Thursday on a newly fitted big screen as it's revealed who killed Lucy Beale, one of the soap's longest running murder mysteries.

The pub will be showing the drama on screen and themed cocktails and food offers will be available throughout the evening.

The pub's director Jake Alder, who lives in Victoria Street, said: "We're doing it just on Thursday when it's the big reveal of who killed Lucy Beale.

"It will be a proper cockney knees up!

"The idea started as a bit of a laugh to be honest but with the name of the pub the same as it is in the show it will work well.

"The girls who work here watch it all the time and we just got a big screen put in so we put the idea on Facebook and everyone went mad for it!

"I think it will be quite a big thing and we've got a little sign made saying Albert Square too."

Prizes will be up for grabs for those who dress up as their favourite EastEnders cast member, past or present.

On Thursday, the show will be screened at 7.30pm before a second episode airs at 9.30pm, with The Albert hosting its party throughout the evening.
