One of the stars of a hit TV show has been spotted filming on a Kent seafront.
Comedian Paul Whitehouse was seen at a beach hut near the Tankerton Slopes earlier today.
He stars alongside comedy legend Bob Mortimer in the popular BBC Two show Gone Fishing, which first aired in 2018 and is currently on its fifth series.
The half-hour episodes, the next of which is due to air on Friday, follow the duo as they take to river banks across the country.
Whitehouse was spotted in Tankerton by fan John Wells, 69, earlier today after fishing on The Street, which is shingle strip that is exposed at low tide.
"I was returning home when I chanced across Paul and the film crew," the Whitstable resident said.
"He asked, 'catch anything?', and we then chatted fishing and footie for five minutes.
"I've been a fan of Paul since the days of the Fast Show and Harry Enfield.
"As an angler, I really enjoyed his latest work on Mortimer and Whitehouse.
"I asked what he was filming and he said it was about pollution."
On this week's episode, Paul and Bob catch the sleeper train to the Scottish Highlands to fish for ferox trout, and Bob cannot resist the challenge to look for Nessie in the vast waters of Loch Ness.
Gone Fishing broadcasts on Friday at 9pm on BBC Two.
