Emergency services were called to the scene of a three car pile-up on the London bound carriage of the Thanet Way this morning.

It happened between Whitstable and Faversham, near Yorkletts and two of the vehicles were said to be stationary in the outside lane.

It led to some other cars colliding with each other. There was congestion on the slip road from Whitsable onto the A299.

Paramedics treated the driver of the car that crashed into the central reservation.

Crews cleared an oil spill on the carriageway.

Police were also called to another accident on the slip road to Bridge off the A2 where a van overturned.
