A 14-year-old girl has been arrested after a suspected assault in Whitstable last night.

A man in his 20s was rushed to a London hospital with serious injuries following the incident in Edgar Close.

Police were called to the address shortly before 10.30pm and are now investigating a grievous bodily harm assault.

The teenager was arrested and is currently in police custody while officers carry out enquiries.

It is understood the injured man was flown by air ambulance to Kings Hospital in London after the incident.
