Travellers have pitched up this morning at a "dangerous" building site.

The land by Estuary View Business Park in Whistable was sold to Grain Holdings by developer George Wilson who says they (Grain) will need to secure the area as soon as possible as the site is unsafe.

He said: "They have moved on to a building site where work will be starting work on a care home and it is dangerous - they are due to start work there very soon and they will have to move on."

Travellers have arrived in Whitstable (2808003)

The city council approved plans to build a 203 suite care home last May.

Covering 12,173ft the home will employ 102 staff and is due for completion by 2021.
