A man dressed as a builder who snatched a cash box from a security guard outside a Whitstable bank today is being hunted.
Police say the raider grabbed the money from a G4S worker at Lloyds Bank this morning.
Officers have launched a hunt for the man, who fled down Hayes Alley next to Specsavers. It is not known how much money was in the box.
The raider is described as 6ft 2in, in his 30s and was wearing jeans, a high-visibility jacket and hard hat.
South East Coast Ambulance spokesman Richard Airey said paramedics treated a man in his 50s for shock.
Police are combing the town centre and have been seen searching the area around the Neptune pub.
Two police cars, an ambulance and a G4S cash delivery van were parked outside the bank in the High Street.

Officers were called to the bank at just before 10.40am when the driver was approached from behind.
Meanwhile, officers set up a rolling roadblock on the coast-bound Thanet Way between Whitstable and Herne Bay.
