Two boys inspired by Captain Tom Moore - who raised £29 million for the NHS - are attempting to follow in his footsteps by setting themselves a week-long challenge.
Brothers Jack, 11, and Theo, six, will be completing fitness tasks each day to collect cash for the health service and local sports clubs in their home town, Whitstable.
Mum Hayley Santer, a teacher at Herne Bay High, says Jack has always had a passion for fundraising since he raised £300 for Demelza when he was six.
"When they saw what Captain Tom had done and how amazing it had gone, they really wanted to do something as well," the 34-year-old said.
"They are really into sport and are obviously missing it so much.
"They want to give something back to the sports clubs and obviously to the NHS because of their amazing work."
The boys who live in Bridgeford Road planned a programme of fitness challenges.
From today, each day they will run 4km; do 100 squats, 100 press ups and 100 sit ups; complete 500 catches off the crazy catch net with a cricket ball; and do 500 kick ups with a football.
They have set themselves a target of £1,000 - and have already raised £540.
Half the money raised will go to the NHS for the "incredible work they do".
The remainder shared between the sports they are missing - Greenhill Gymnastics Club, Whitstable Town Football Club and Chestfield Cricket Club.
Captain Tom Moore gripped the hearts of the nation as he walked 100 laps of his garden to raise money for the NHS.
He also revealed in a TV interview he married a girl from Gravesend.
He is set to be honoured with an RAF flypast, as well as receiving a personalised telegram from the Queen to mark his 100th birthday this Thursday.
