Five vehicles were involved in a crash on the A299 this morning.

The Thanet Way road has now reopened London bound due to the incident.

There is ice near Pilgrims Lane.

Police were called to the London bound carriageway of the Thanet Way just past Whitstable at 6.30am this morning following a report of a multi-car collision.

A man in his 30s with chest and abdomen pain and a woman in her 40s with leg injuries were treated by paramedics at the scene.

Both were taken to the William Harvey Hospital.
