Firefighters were called to a house after a blaze started in an entrance hall.

The incident occurred at 5.14pm on Florence Avenue, in Whitstable, and two fire engines attended.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put out the flames using hose reel jets, and were at the scene for more than two hours.

Volunteer response team and paramedics also attended to provide support to affected residents.

The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical board.
