An 18-year-old man has died in hospital following a crash on the Thanet Way.

A blue Kia Rio veered off the dual carriageway between Brenley Corner roundabout and Whitstable and hit a tree yesterday evening.

The young man, who was from Whitstable, was taken to a London hospital but sadly died from his injuries.

Officers investigating the fatal crash are now appealing for witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward.

The time of the crash has not been confirmed but the car was seen on its side just before 8.20pm on Sunday.
