A 51-year-old man from Whitstable has been arrested after a sting operation by a group that aims to catch paedophiles.

Yesterday evening, the man was met in Whitstable by members of Predator Down, who live-streamed the encounter on Facebook.

At 7pm, he was arrested by police on suspicion of inciting sexual activity with a child.

The man remains in police custody, while enquiries continue.
