Food giant Aldi has opened its new store in Whitstable today.
Customers got their first taste of the shop at 7.30am when Team GB canoeing star and Olympic gold medalist Tim Baillie cut the ribbon.
The opening comes one day after the M&S Foodhall welcomed its first shoppers yesterday.
The new Aldi development offers 252 free parking spaces and is open from 8am until 10pm Monday to Saturday and 10am until 4pm on Sunday.
Bosses at the 1,684sqm discount German supermarket are offering a range of opening week deals.
Located at the new Prospect Retail Park, close to the Estuary View Medical Centre, the Aldi store is next to M&S.
