A large pub-restaurant has reopened following a six-figure transformation.
The Wheatsheaf in Swalecliffe, near Whitstable, closed in October for the renovation and has now been rebranded as a Greene King site.
Pictures show drastic changes to the site in Herne Bay Road, including a new outdoor play area and a heated pergola.
The garden has been extended to provide new outdoor seating areas and there is a covered TV screen showing Sky Sports.
Greene King, which is part of the same group as Hungry Horse that previously ran the site, says the move has created 28 new jobs.
General manager Andrew Vaughan said: “The Wheatsheaf will remain a pillar in the local community that we have always been and we look forward to welcoming both new and old customers to try out our new offering.
“The revamp has brought a whole new lease of life to the pub, and we’re confident that customers will love our improved facilities, menu and more for an even better drinking and dining experience than ever before.”
The new bosses say the pub welcomes dogs and will be hosting weekly bingo and quiz nights, as well as monthly live music events.
