A motorist had a miraculous escape after her car flipped onto its side and hit a lamppost during a crash that involved no other vehicles.
Police were called to the scene outside the Wheatsheaf pub in Herne Bay Road, Whitstable, to find the driver, who is in her 20s, trapped in her car.
Fire crews had to help rescue her from the wreckage and she did not need hospital treatment.
Adriana Kobyzew, of Herne Bay Road, saw the aftermath of the accident from her house.
She said: "I didn't hear any noise and we had our bedroom window open.
"Just when opening the blinds I saw the car on its side and police officers managing the traffic.
"The lamppost was wrecked and it looked like the car hit the pavement, slid up the lamp and went on its side. But that's just my assumption."
South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene but no injuries were reported.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Police were called to a one car road traffic collision in Herne Bay Road, Whitstable, at 8.16am on Sunday 12 July.
"The car was travelling towards Herne Bay when it collided with a lamp-post and rolled onto its side.
"Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to release the driver, a woman in her early 20s. She did not need hospital treatment.
"She was the single occupant of the car and no other vehicles were involved in the collision."
